Comments on How to install Wine applications easily with Winetricks
Working with Linux may bring various incompatibility issues sooner or later, no matter the case of use. You'll either need to run commercial software that offers no Linux version, or just keep using games and applications that you preferred to use when you were back at Windows. Whatever the need, Wine is your only chance.

Also, for those that are running distros that may not have the newest winetricks version, you can get the source code directly from here:
In fact the official home of Winetricks is no longer at Google Code, but has been moved (like many other projects previously on Google Code) to Github, where either the lastest Git version or latest release version 20150416 can be downloaded.
I only currently use two Windows programs under Wine, but I've never understood the need for Winetricks for my needs. I can easily install and run the two Windows programs that I use.
