The Perfect Server - CentOS 4.7 Server This tutorial shows how to set up a CentOS 4.7 server that offers all services needed by ISPs and web hosters: Apache web server (SSL-capable), Postfix mail server with SMTP-AUTH and TLS, BIND DNS server, Proftpd FTP server, MySQL server, Dovecot POP3/IMAP, Quota, Firewall, etc. This tutorial is written for the 32-bit version of CentOS 4.7, but should apply to the 64-bit version with very little modifications as well.

I know, but if you have to install a new server, is there any reason to choose 4.x instead of 5.x?
Is there any reason to choose Centos 4.x instead of 5.x?
Some applications that designed to run on CentOS 4.x (RHEL 4) may not work on CentOS5.x (RHEL 5)
I couldn't think of other reasons.
