The Perfect Server - OpenSUSE 11.4 x86_64 [ISPConfig 3] - Page 6

17 ISPConfig 3

Before we install ISPConfig 3, make sure that the /var/vmail/ directory exists:

mkdir /var/vmail/

Download the current ISPConfig 3 version and install it. The ISPConfig installer will configure all services like Postfix, Dovecot, etc. for you. A manual setup as required for ISPConfig 2 is not necessary anymore.

cd /tmp
tar xfz ISPConfig-3-stable.tar.gz
cd ispconfig3_install/install/

Now start the installation process by executing:

php -q install.php

server1:/tmp/ispconfig3_install/install # php -q install.php

Congratulations, an excellent documentation that makes it easy to set up ISPConfig quickly.

Maybe you should add the hint that the packets installed with wget may have a different version than described.

Additionally ISPConfig should run https by default, can you add this as well?

In total, a brilliant work, Thanks!

Thanks for the tutorial, a small problem thought, on page 5, "yast2 -i webalizer perl-DateManip" should be "yast2 -i webalizer perl-Date-Manip"
