Where's the ISPConfig configuration file?

On this page

  1. ISPConfig 3
  2. ISPConfig 2

This short FAQ article shows where the ISPConfig 3 and ISPConfig 2 configuration files are located.

ISPConfig 3

The ISPConfig 3 Hosting Control Panel consists of two parts: the interface and the server. Each part has its own config file which contains the MySQL database login details and some global settings like system language and locale..

ISPConfig 3 Interface

/usr/local/ispconfig/interface/lib/config.inc.php

ISPConfig 3 Server

/usr/local/ispconfig/server/lib/config.inc.php

Other ISPConfig 3 configuration files

The file /usr/local/ispconfig/server/lib/mysql_clientdb.conf contains the MySQL root password which is used to create MySQL databases. The file /usr/local/ispconfig/security/security_settings.ini contains various security related settings and the trigger scores for the IDS system.

ISPConfig 2

ISPConfig 2 is the old version of ISPConfig and probably not in use anymore today. Nevertheless here the config path for that old version as a reference.

/home/admispconfig/ispconfig/lib/config.inc.php.
