Creating Backups With luckyBackup On An Ubuntu 9.04 Desktop This tutorial explains how to install and use luckyBackup on an Ubuntu 9.04 desktop. luckyBackup is an application for data back-up and synchronization powered by the rsync tool. It is simple to use, fast (transfers over only changes made and not all data), safe (keeps your data safe by checking all declared directories before proceeding in any data manipulation ), reliable and fully customizable.

Hi,

I have recently installed Ubuntu in my PC, this is running Smooth. I like to work on UBUNTU.

Installation went OK but once trying to start the application it gives you the following :

can't lunch LuckBackup as super user

failed to execute child process "su-to-root"   (no such file or directory )

the above happened to me twice on two different laptops using ubuntu 9.04 and 9.10

Any ideas folks ?

"sudo aptitude install menu" will fix the su-to-root error

The command "apt-get install luckybackup" doesn't work.

LuckyBackup is working fine with my MSI U100 Netbook with Ubuntu 9.04 - Jaunty Jackalope - release in April 2009.

 Thanks for this tutorial.
