10 Opera

Open a browser and go to http://www.opera.com/browser/download/; select Ubuntu as the distribution and then Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope, Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron and click on the Download Opera button:

A download dialogue should come up. Select Open with GDebi Package Installer (default):

A Package Installer window comes up. Click on the Install Package button to install Opera:

Type in your password:

Opera is now being installed. Afterwards, you can close the Package Installer window:

thanks for the valuable info...the win os is always evergreen..for older hw versions we can use the open source...

Looking at the software you installed, you show xmms2 marked for installation on page 3, but show xmms in your "inventory". They are not the same. Is it still possible to obtain xmms through the Ubuntu repo? I had thought it was dropped.
