Having a local Fedora mirror is good if you have to install multiple systems in your local network because then all needed packages can be downloaded over the fast LAN connection, thus saving your internet bandwidth.

hello ,
i have written a detailed step by step guide for creating a local repository( using createrepo) from  packages downloaded from the internet and configuring the Fedora Installation media (DVD) as a local repository.The posts are at the following liks :

I'm trying to sync the updates, and they know appear to split into two directorys, one called i386 with some repodata in it, and one called i386.newkey, which do i download? and do i have to do a createrepo on the updates as well?
