netstat is part of net-tools and is being deprecated.  You should start using ss from iproute2 or another tool.

What do those tools do that netstat does not? Or is this just change for the skae of change? This aside from the fact that anyone who decided to call a command 'ss' would do well to learn a bit of 20th century history.
