Comments on How to use Avidemux for Video Editing
Thankfully, the open source world offers many good choices when it comes to video editing. Some of the most popular choices are the PiTiVi, OpenShot, Kdenlive and Blender. Avidemux is another one - maybe the one with the worst name, but being one of the oldest (five years old) it is now quite mature and stable as well as relatively feature rich.

Does it support EDL - like those output from comskip?
What is the small window with the vertical red line through its centre on the bottom right of the AVIdemux screen? It doesn't seem to do anything.
Great and very useful article. Thanks.
I used Avidemux to edit a MP4 video - worked great. Then I wanted to put a disclaimer at the end. Tried attaching a pdf - did not work. Created an MP4 using the disclaimer and save it. Made sure it was the same size as the original video and saved. When I played it the audio was great until it go to the disclaimer. Then there was a horrible noise. Reloaded the disclaimer and turned off the audio (unchecked track 1). I tried creating a new MP4, with the original video, plus the "no audio" disclaimer. The program will not save the new videos (I assume because the first one has a normal audio and the appended disclaimer has no audio). How to I add a single slide to the end of an MP4? Can you help?
