Comments on How to setup your OTP appliance with privacyIDEA

How to setup your OTP appliance with privacyIDEA In this howto we will setup a system that can act as your own personal OTP appliance, managing all authentication devices in your network. You then may configure your services to authenticate against this machine. It is a good idea to use some virtualization mechanism. If you have some old hardware around, this is even as good.

The privacyidea-appliance package does not work with privacyidea 2.2 at the moment!

But privacyIDEA 2.2 comes with a tool "pi-manage.py" which will care for most tasks.

See https://privacyidea.readthedocs.org/en/latest/installation/index.html

But how to install pi-manage.py? Where to find it?

Hi

I keep getting import error: no module named appliance whenever i run the privacyidea-setup-tui to configure my appliance kindly help

This is way out of date. PrivacyIdea is at version 2.11 as at 2016.03.03 and the above instructions for v 1.3.3 do not work.

Please either update the instructions so that they do work or delete the tutorial.

Thanks.
