Comments on How To Install And Use The Chrome Remote Desktop Sharing Feature In Ubuntu
Chrome Remote Desktop Sharing feature in Ubuntu In this tutorial I will introduce you with the Chrome remote Desktop sharing feature. This is an alternate as similar to team-viewer type property for sharing the screen with remote clients. It seems to be very useful for remote desktop control features. I will install the webplugin in Ubuntu 14.04.

did all this and got to the point of clicking the "Share" button, and all it does is ask to download the chrome-remote-desktop_current_amd64.deb
It's already been installed, and Chrome has been restarted. Running Ubuntu 14.04.1 x86_64, kernel 3.13.0-43-generic, chrome 39.0.2171.65
Hi,
1. When I press 'Access' from the remote desktop in linux, it showing a window to enter the code.
2. It should be 'Share' key that is pressed to get the code.(which is used from the windows)
3. In my case, when I press 'Share', I get the popup to download the same file *.deb to be save and installed. The window that popsup wait for OK, Cancel, with the message, Chrome is downloading the Chrome remote desktop host Installer. Once the download is complete , please run the installer before continuing.
4. ANything else to be set or run before I launch the desktop remotely?
5. Thanks , that was excellent document on the steps to follow.
me too. it's just a neverending cycle of downloading and then repeating the same popup. Splashtop works better.
have you installed the downloaded file?
THis tutorial seems to address the "Remote Assistance" part of CRD only. What about the Remoye Desktop feature?
