Thanks you for the tutorial!

It not clear how the reverse proxy is set up. Did you set up the reverse proxy on the same machine or did you write this for the reverse proxy to be a different machine? For using a differnt machine as the reverse proxy, I'm guessing that the SSL cert is not required for the guac machine but it is not obvious whether Tomcat needs to be configured for the reverse proxy conection. Thoughts?

Finaly, I believe you have a typo in the prerequisites for the domain name: "uvdesk.example.com" vs "guacamole.example.com"
