Comments on Sample Configuration of DRBD On CentOS 4.5
Sample Configuration of DRBD On CentOS 4.5 DRBD is an abbreviation of Distributed Replicated Block Device. DRBD is a block device which is designed to build high-availability clusters. This is done by mirroring a whole block device via (a dedicated) network. You could see it as a network RAID1.

Hello barbarsalem,
I think you mixed up cnode1 and 2 in the last paragraph.
If you created the docs on cnode2 they must be replicated to cnode1, right?
Sincerely,
Uli
Thanks a lot for pointing out typing mistake. which has been corrected
Babar Saleem
i successful installed DRBD.
i tried to edit the /etc/drbd.conf, but i have no idea what is 'device /dev/drbd0' ........can you or anyone explain..?
refer to quoted below, what is 'device node to use: /dev/drbd0'.
"The device node to use: /dev/drbd0 - DRBD block device."
one more... i did not implement this:
'insmod /lib/modules/2.6.9-55.0.9.EL/extra/drbd.ko'
Thanks
