Install Camfrogserver Advanced 6.0 On Ubuntu Linux This is an updated tutorial on how to install Camfrog Server on Ubuntu 10.10 (Maverick Meerkat). When I first saw that Camfrog Server was released I was excited until I realized it was only for RedHat AS/ES 4.x 5.x, CentOS 4.x 5.x, Fedora 6.x 7.x 8.x operating systems. Then I realized you can convert rpm packages to deb packages using alien; you can even have alien install the rpm automatically after converting it.

I'm afraid that www.jmes.me is down again.
Still, you can download a more recent version of camfrogserver and use alien to convert it to .deb.
On more recent versions of Ubuntu, the package ia-32 doesn't exist any longer.
But you can still install the 32bit libraries with:
sudo apt-get lib32ncurses5 lib32z1
Also, it would be nice if you could complete the tutorial, namely:
- How to deal with logins/passwords and what each login/password actually does (there are at least 4 pairs of login/passwords, plus an extra one for each room!)
- How to register with Camfrog to actually get your room listed on their service
- How to configure rooms
Remembering readers that the webpanel is accessed with https:// and not http://
Your tutorial is nice from the perspective of someone who is already a genius with camfrogserver configuration and just needs a few hints to get it working under Linux. As I've never managed to install camfrogserver, I lack the knowledge to fill in the missing details.
Here are some additional tutorials. None of them lead to a working configuration, but they add hints here and there to go further towards the goal:

Some are for older versions of camfrogserver.
You can follow this guide on how to get the rooms running on CentOS linux:

Like I said this guide is to help you get the program running on Ubuntu assuming you already know how to use the program on CentOS or Fedora.
I suggest trying to install it on fedora or centos first and get to know the program before converting the rpm and running off a debian server.
