What about xcfa (http://www.xcfa.tuxfamily.org/static2/xcfa).I've found it very useful... but lately the cue/splitting functionality fails...

When converting midi to mp3 with SoundConverter, there's an error message saying something is missing from the installation of SoundConerter.
