Comments on How to Configure a Proxmox VE 4 Multiple Node Cluster
In this tutorial, we will build a Proxmox 4 cluster with 3 Proxmox servers and 1 NFS Storage server. Proxmox VE 4 supports the installation of clusters and the central management of multiple Proxmox servers. You can manage multiple Proxmox servers from one web management console. This feature is really handy when you have a larger server farm.

What is the best option for the nfs share /var/nfsproxmox? A raid, an lvm?
An NFS share from a remote SAN or NAS
Your /etc/hosts looks strange for me. Why two occurences of pvelocalhost with two different IP ?
192.168.1.114 pve1.myproxmox.co pve1 pvelocalhost192.168.1.115 pve2.myproxmox.co pve2 pvelocalhost
Thanks for explaining the tough topic of cluster, this is Really impressive.
First all, exceln!! Thank you!!I have two questions.
1 - If I run a benckmar on a VM, It giveme 900 point. If a Shutdown one of them and run againg the benchmark. The result are 600point?2 - Can I do this with 2 PC only?
3 - If ever PC has for example, 4Gb of RAM, Can I make a VM with 8Gb ? ThankYou!!!
Say I have two nodes and an NFS share. All VMs operate on one node and HA is not required. Backups are performed to the NFS once a week.
If I wanted to conserve power and keep one node powered down, is it best to keep the nodes independent, or is it harmless to run a cluster with one machine always down?
Great Great Great
Can anyone please link to a details on what one can do witch such a cluster? My area of interest is to have virtual servers publicly accessible under their own static IPv4 and if possible HA. Unsure how this cluster can be related or help in this matter, or if the point is only to be able to mange three servers from one place and have common storage for VPS templates.
Say I just have the 3 nodes and I don't have a spare machine to set up NFS server. Could I install the server in one of the nodes?
Would I need two NIC in that node right?
no
