    i have a wildcard for a domain
    but i created a website for sub domain

    *.mydomain.com == my.domain

    and i build
    site.mydomain.com

    but the wildcard override the a record and i have to cancel the wildcard to allow the web site to run

    Are you talking about a website or a dns record and which ispconfig version do you use?

    i use the latest ispconfig version on centos

    the dns is working and i use external dns to manage my dns

    the ispconfig dns is on but i dont use it

    in Aliasdomain
    i set . for the masted site and Auto-Subdomain *

    but ispconfig forward the http request to Aliasdomain and not the real host name

    Make sure that you created or at least updated both sites in ISPConfig 3.0.4.2 as this will rename the vhost files so that wilcard vhosts get stored at the end of the vhost list.

    Please check that you enabled auto subdomain * in the website and not a aliasdomain and that the other site exists as website too and does not has auto subdomain * enabled.
