Welcome email to new created clients not being sent

    Hi All,
    I wonder if you could help. I have setup ISPConfig Server as per normal and all works. When i used to create new clients, ISPConfig would send welcome emails with some details i specify in Clients>Template>Email-Templates>Default Welcome Email and added some variables such as username, password... that clients needs to know in order to login. These welcome emails were being sent as per normal last time we added clients but not anymore. I tried creating some new clients and we didn't receive any welcome emails. I have checked Mail logs on Monitor, ISPConfig, but can't see anything.
    OS Version Debian 9.8
    Devecot in use
    POP3 and IMAP in use (Is that ok?)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    What exactly is this normal way to setup ISPConfig?
    Is this a new server you just set up?
    The welcome e-mail is sent when an e-mail mailbox is created. Creating a client does not cause e-mails to be sent. Have you created a mailbox, logged in to that mailbox and there is no welcome mail?

    Evere since I deployed my ISPConfig server, when i create a new Client, if i put the client's email the in the email field, the person gets a welcome email.
    This is different thing from when you create a email address, and yes it the mailbox gets a welcome email too. I am wondering why it stopped sending emails when a Client is added and all appropriate fields a populated?

    In Client -> Email-Templates do you have an entry for "Default welcome email"?

    Sry, missed that you have already done that.
    Can you post the output of the mail log, when creating a client? Or is there nothing at all?
    Have you changed something at System -> Main config -> Mail, especially
    "Use SMTP to send system mails"
    "Administrator's e-mail"
    ?

    Sorry Steini86, been busy.
    I had changed SMTP setting for emails to be sent with a specific email address. There is no mail log, these emails just don't go. The weird thing is that, when this issue happens, if i delete the welcome email and recreate it and create a test client, the welcome email goes out fine, but sometimes it just doesn't send email.

    exactly the same thing here , building my "Default welcome email" (with naming it "client_creation")
    then create client , with an existing external mailbox ...
    no trace of mail in target mail system ....

    Please don't revive old threads, but create a new one and eventually refer to another post.

    It could be related to https://git.ispconfig.org/ispconfig/ispconfig3/-/issues/5620, which is fixed in 3.2.
