    Hello,

I was wondering is it possible to have on a dedicated web server configured for shared hosting. Multiple domains will be hosted and Postfix is to be used as MTA.

    Let's say we have mail.example.com and mail.example2.com and mail.example3.com.

I have mail users for each domain.tld
Incoming e-mail is delivered to each recipient with no problems. However, related to outgoing email now : when user@example2.com tries to send an e-mail through it's mail client the e-mail gets sent but in the headers of the message appears mail.example.com not mail.example2.com

    Where is the error?

    Thanks.

Thats no error. It is the normal behaviour on mail servers with virtual domains. The mail server has always just one hostname that is mentioned in the headers.

    Hello,

Thanks for the reply. Is there any work around or which MTA should I use?

    Thanks.

There is no workaround as ther is no problem with that. All ISP;s are doing it like this. If you dont like it you will have to run a dedicated server or vserver for every domain.
