    Hello friends, this time I hope you can guide me to a safe configuration to my non ISPConfig Debian Lenny LAMP+FTP server.

    I have this next scenario:
    • User: xyz
    • Site folder path: /var/www/xyz/{cgi-bing,web,logs}
    • I need the safest environment for my site folder but also allowing xyz user to be able to upload/edit/delete files/folders

    I have read this article but I still am not convinced:

    Please share some of your wisdom with me :). Thank you,

    Any help please? Is my question not clear, should I reform it?

    You might want to take a look on how ispconfig 3 is configuring websites e.g. by creating a virtual machine installing ispconfig and then reading the config files and folder structures created by ispconfig. Basically you should to run the scripts in each website under their own user to get a safe enviroment where every website is isolated from other websites.

    Thanks till, that's what I did... I took ispconfiguration method as an example and implement it.
