    Hi

The last two days I have been trying to upgrade my 7.10 version to 8.04

At first I went the wrong way to use the spamsnake how-to. Which was my own fault because I have a mailserver running and don't want a relayserver. Well got that covered but am running in to problems after the how-to Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04 with ISPConfig (or without ISPConfig)

    Some issues are:

when I restart my network it gets stukc on the last line
    root@mussormanagement:/home/harry# /etc/init.d/networking restart
    * Reconfiguring network interfaces... * Stopping NTP server ntpd
    ...done.
    [ OK ]
root@mussormanagement:/home/harry# * Starting NTP server ntpd
    ...done.

It won't go further unless I break it and do the same but then wit just start

I am not able to telnet 127.0.0.1 25
The connection keeps on being disconnected immediately

And I can't see my Ubuntu server in my LAN, which I could before upgrading. All seems to be network issues. But I don't know anymore where to look for.

The ports are all open, checked that.

Any ideas what I should do to get it solved.

    Thanks

    Harry

    What's the output of
    Code:
    ifconfig
? Any errors in your logs?
    What's in /etc/network/interfaces now?
