Hi, I have been running ISPC3 on the perfect debian 5 server for some time now.

I seems I am unable to update.
ISPC keeps telling me that components need an update.

I run apt-get update and then apt-get upgrade, but the message doesn't go away and apt-get upgrade always finds an update, but somehow the update doesn't go through as expected.
After I do the upgrade, if I try upgrading again, it will try to upgrade exactly the same stuff again.
(I also tried rebooting the server, no effect)

    I attached a screenshot of what's happening.

Can anyone help with that issue please?

    Hi,

Can you specify which components ISPConfig informs you about? Or include a screenshot of the warning?
If it's the anti virus, it's not a problem. Why i don't really know, but i was told to ignore the warning: "Your Virus-protection is OUTDATED!".

doesn't the above screenshot provide exactly that information?

    What message exactly?

Do you get any error messages?

  7. manarak

    manarak New Member

    Well, no error messages.
The update looks like it runs ok, but then nothing changed.
ISPC still complains about the packages needing an update and apt-get, if I run it again, still wants to update exactly the same packages.

It is as if nothing happended.

    Please try:

    aptitude upgrade

and be aware that it may take a few hours until the update status in ispconfig gets refreshed. If you want to know if more updates have to be installed, run:

    apt-get -u upgrade

Hi, I ran aptitude upgrade with exactly the same result

    no ideas, anyone?
it seems my server is now stuck, no updates are possible

the clamav update tells me to make changes to the files /etc/clamav/clamav-milter.conf and /etc/default/clamav-milter

but there are no such files.

There ahs nothing to be changed as milter is not installed and not used.

    Is this as virtual server?

  13. manarak

    manarak New Member

no, it is not a virtual server.
if clamav is not installed, why is it getting updated?

You mix up clamav and clamav milter. Clamav is installed and used but clamav milter is not used.

    oh, sorry.
but... do you have an idea why my updates are stuck?

  16. manarak

    manarak New Member

ok, the contents of the updates have changed, and now there is more stuff that needs updating, but my server won't let me update.

I attach a screenshot of the packages apt-get wants to upgrade, as well as the list of outdated packages from ISPC.

what is irritating, is that it says I need to get 0B of 60.8MB of archives.

do I need to force-reinstall something?
