Running Ubuntu 14.04 on an Amazon Ec2 instance. Currently have version 3.0.5.4p8 installed and tried to update to 3.1.1 using the ispconfig_update.sh command and I got a bunch like this:

    dbispconfig.webdav_user

error : 1 when fixing table

Error : Can't change ownership of the file '/var/lib/mysql/dbispconfig/webdav_user.MYD' (Errcode: 1)

    status : Operation failed

Press enter to continue or CTRL-C to cancel the installation ..Unable to read server configuration from database.

Seems as if the dbispcofig database is broken on your server in a way that mysql can not change the permissions of its own files, this is a system error and not an ispconfig problem. Normally the folder /var/lib/mysql/dbispconfig/ and its content are owned by the user and group 'mysql'.
