    All,

I have a wildcard certificate from Go Daddy for a site and I am unable to install the certificate. I receive the following errors.

WARNING - Action aborted, file is a symlink: /var/www/clients/client0/web1/ssl/*.jerrypate.com.bundle

WARNING - Action aborted, file is a symlink: /var/www/clients/client0/web1/ssl/*.jerrypate.com.key

WARNING - Action aborted, file is a symlink: /var/www/clients/client0/web1/ssl/*.jerrypate.com.crt

I have not symlinked anything on my own. Everything is currently the default 3.0.5.3 settings on the server within /var/www/

I am running Debian 7.0 and apache.

    maybe /var/www is a symlink?

Nope. /var/www is a normal directory. same goes for /var.

This is what is in /var/www. Maybe these symlinks are to blame? However, I didn't create them, ispconfig did.

The symlinks are ok. Which ispconfig version do you use and is this an apache or nginx sever?

    Fixed!

    Till,

I figured it out. As I didn't create the csr in ispconfig, the key was not on the server. I pasted the key into the 'SSL Key' field, changed the ssl domain from *.domain.com to domain.com, changed SSL Action to Save Certificate, and now it works! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Have the same issue with ISPCONFIG 3.0.5.3
If you choose *.domain.tld, the whole webserver crashed, cause of the wrong entry in the vhost-file.

How can i add a wildcard certificate - of if not, please remvoe the possibility to choose * in SSL Domain.
