    I am installing fresh ispconfig from the perfect server guide and I am held at this point that is quota check. what I am doing wrong here, not able to make it out.

    [email protected]:/home/pawan# mount -o remount /
    [email protected]:/home/pawan# quotacheck -avugm
    quotacheck: Scanning /dev/disk/by-uuid/7cc9486e-b0d0-41cc-bc54-5517397ec139 [/] quotacheck: lstat Cannot stat `//home/pawan/.gvfs': Permission denied
    Guess you'd better run fsck first !

    my fstab file reads like this
    # /etc/fstab: static file system information.
    # Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
    # device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
    # that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
    # <file system> <mount point>   <type>  <options>       <dump>  <pass>
    proc            /proc           proc    nodev,noexec,nosuid 0       0
    # was on /dev/sda1 during installation
    UUID=7cc9486e-b0d0-41cc-bc54-5517397ec139 /               ext4    errors=remount-ro,usrjquota=quota.user,grpjquota=quota.group,jqfmt=vfsv0 0       1
    # swap was on /dev/sda5 during installation
    UUID=1d96b4a1-cf4f-4690-be3a-8d771585fd37 none            swap    sw              0       0

    I guess that's ok so you can ignore the error message. the hidden .gvfs file is most likely from gvfs file system and therefor this hidden file can not be checked. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GVfs
