Sun has just released xVm Virtualbox 2.0. There's alot of promises with the new release such as support for Jumbo frames, 64 bits guest support, Added SATA asynchronous IO using raw disk, Shared Folders, etc.

Is there anyone here who can share a Howto on installing and configuring Sun xVM Virtualbox 2.0 under Ubuntu 8.04 Server. Also, it would be great to highlight the use of the major features.

    Wow, that's great thanks!

Also, could you please include in the HowTo xVM Virtualbox 2.0 remote management of Guest OS inside a Ubuntu 8.04 Server Host. Is this possible?

    More power!

    Hi falko,

Just in case you will proceed making a howto for VirtualBox 2.0 pls. consider the following:

    Host: Ubuntu 8.04 Server
Guest: Ubuntu 8.04 Server and Windows XP

    Using the following features:

Network: Host Interface: Intel Pro/1000 T Server
    Shared Folder
    Remote Management

Thank you very much for the Howto. Very nice, indeed! :)

    I have some questions:

    1. If I have 2 NICS how can I make all of them work in bridge mode?
    - NIC1 for the host server
    - NIC2 for the Guest
