.currently i have a configure with ISPconfig
    server A (
    server b (

.is it possible to configure a sub-domain to point to local ip address(app server) by doing a A record?

so when someone types it redirects to my server B

i know we can do reverse proxy , but i was wondering if we can do that within ISPconfig.

This wont work when you connect from outside. The only way to do that is to use a proxy, you cana slo do that in ispconfig, create a website and add the apache proxy directves in the apache directives field of the website.
