    Using the howto 'http://www.howtoforge.com/bind-installation-on-centos' I am trying to install BIND on a CentOS 6.0 VPS that will serve as a primary nameserver.

    After following the instructions up to step 6 I get the following outputs:
    [[email protected] ~]# cat /etc/resolv.conf
    nameserver 50.58.72.200
    [[email protected] ~]# cat /etc/named.conf
    //
    // named.conf for Red Hat caching-nameserver
    //
    options {
    directory "/var/named";
    dump-file "/var/named/data/cache_dump.db";
    statistics-file "/var/named/data/named_stats.txt";
    /*
    * If there is a firewall between you and nameservers you want
    * to talk to, you might need to uncomment the query-source
    * directive below. Previous versions of BIND always asked
    * questions using port 53, but BIND 8.1 uses an unprivileged
    * port by default.
    */
    // query-source address * port 53;
    };

    //
    // a caching only nameserver config

    inet 127.0.0.1 allow { localhost; } keys { rndckey; };
    };

    file "localhost.zone";
    allow-update { none; };
    };

    zone "nameserver.net" IN {
    type master;
    file "/var/named/nameserver.net.zone";
    allow-update { none; };
    };

    zone "72.58.50.in-addr.arpa" IN {
    type master;
    file "/var/named/72.58.50.rev";
    allow-update { none; };
    };

    include "/etc/rndc.key";

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!
