    Hi all,

is it possible to send a mail to a host that sends spam?

Like, someone mails, but its classified as spam by my spamassassin, i want to drop the mail, but also send a mail to the sender.

Is this possible, and if so, how do i do this?

    Thnx in advance

Very bad idea nowadays. This is called backscatter and is considered to be even worse then spamming.

Because most spam e-mail you get are sent by either innocent users who's PC's are infected with some kind of spambot, or the return address is a fake address and you will only bother someone who never send the SPAM email, either knowingly or innocent.

If you want, just ditch SPAM to /dev/null, but be aware for false positives. But don't try to inform spammers. Waste of time and resources.

Spam can be accepted and denied, is it possible that spam is beeing dropped in its own mailbox?
