Are there any errors in your mail log (in the /var/log/ directory)?

Does the MX record of your domain point to the correct server? You can check that with
    Code:
    dig mx yourdomain.com

  9. fisherofer

    fisherofer New Member

yes the mx point to a record of the main domain
and i dont know since i restart the server
i cant login into the web account (webmail)

    ERROR
    Unknown user or password incorrect.

and i try new users or password nothing working

    1) Is the server hostade in a datacaenter and is directly connected to the internet with a static IP address?
    2) Do you run any router or firewall in front of the server?
    3) When you login to quirrelmail on the server, are you able to send yourself a email to the same address that you used to login with squirrelmail?

    1) Is the server hostade in a datacaenter and is directly connected to the internet with a static IP address? YES

    2) Do you run any router or firewall in front of the server?
yes outgoing all open and incoming for mail and web server

    3) When you login to quirrelmail on the server, are you able to send yourself a email to the same address that you used to login with squirrelmail?

    2) According to the mail log, outgoing email connections are blocked:

    mail.comsafe.co.il[80.179.140.162]: Connection refused (port 25)

    3) Squirrelmail is a webmail client that you can access from any pc which has internet access, so your server dont need a gui. Squirrelmail is part of the perfcet setup, so if you followed the guide, then it is installed and can be used from your computer.

So please login to squirrelmail as I described above and send yourself a email. If the emial does not arrive in the same squirrelmail account after about a minute or two, then post all log lines that has been added fro this transaction in the maillog
