I'm getting ready to retire a server and want to move the e-mails and such to the new server. Where is the e-mail kept? Is it in the database or is it elsewhere.

Going from Fedora 11 to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bit. (A physical move not just the os on the same machine.)

Also to purchase the manual its only 5 euro however when I go to buy it the paypal is all in german. Is the manual in english?

    Help is appreciated.

The paypal page is in german? I will check that, it should be in english or switch to the language of the customer.

I just checked the paypal page, when I access it from here (germany) with a browser switched to german language, then the page is in english like we set it. Strange.

    the email

Where are the messages (email) kept? Is it in the database or is it physically on the drive somewhere? How would I move the old to the new?

The messages are in the directory /var/vmail like i posted above. Emails are stored in standard linux maildir format, you can just copy the whole directory tree to the new server.
