    Hi There,
Ive been gaining clients that also use dedicated servers within my farm. two of them loved the ease of ISPConfig but would like to add resellers to their account. So basically I have a client and THEY have resellers. Is there an easy way to implement this?

    Probaly not.
You must give your client a Reseller account also, then move his stuff there.

Or install a separate ISPConfig on each dedicated server, so your clients are all admins with resellers. There are pros and cons to each approach.

The reason why im asking is, maybe its a good addition. I would love to have control one place instead of all the seperate installations. I think it could be a good thing to implement. Making a client that can add resellers based on HIS limitations.

    clearification:
his limitations made by admin and clearly he can set his limits based on max values the admin gave.
I have 2 (maybe more) clients who would love a function like that within my multi-server farm.

Perhaps if the guys of ISPConfig could respond. maybe it would make a nice Future Request?

There are 4 privilege levels now: admin, reseller, client and mail users. So when someone shall be able to manage his own clients, then you must create a reseller account for him. If someone shall have its own resellers, then he must be admin user, which means that you have to install him his own dedicated server or a dedicated multiserver system. It is really unlikely that we will ever implement unlimited nesting of user levels as this would mean that each function in the UI must be implemented from scratch to do a tree-like search to resolve permissions, quotas, limits etc.

    Hi Till,
    thank you for your response.
Thats what i have now. Multiple server installations, multiple manageable interfaces. I wanted to get rid of that as it would cut my time in managing servers.

My ultimate goal here would be that my client(s) can manage his websites and those of his resellers client from one interface (single login) and when my client need support i can troubleshoot from the same admin login i use now.

Perhaps we can do it easier as to have able to create an admin user with the same limitations as the client has. limit a admin user to a limitation group that only has all access to server A or B?

Admin users have by definition no limitations in ISPConfig, you would basically have to rewrite any source code file in ISPConfig GUI to check all code lines which implications such a change would have if you would want to start to apply limits on admin users.
