    You could use
    Code:
    yast
to search for other available kernels.

    Just run the command
    Code:
    yast
You can then use yast's search function to find available kernels.

Please serch for "kernel". If you have apt installed, the command is:

    Code:
    apt-cache search kernel

since i don't have apt , is it ok to use
"yast search kernal" instead of "apt-cache search kernel"

I am not sure if yast support package querys this wa.

Bestter start yast with the "yast" command, go to the software package manager, select search and search for the word "kernel".

Did you search for kernel or kernal? Should be kernel...

If you search in yast, all kernels are SuSe related. I'am pretty sure that the packages you posted above are not kernels, they are yust helper programs or something like that. please post the complete list if we shall help you to select a kernel.

MSG Received from My Server provider regarding this issuse

we make a default configuration that is what most people are looking for in a server. If you want a custom configuration beyond what we offer for the dedicated server then you need to have your own system administrator who knows how to do these things for you.

here are some links to get you in the right direction
    http://www.digitalhermit.com/linux/Kernel-Build-HOWTO.html
    http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/linux/RHL-7.3-Manual/custom-guide/ch-custom-kernel.html

Please note that if you aren't sure of what you are doing and you cause your server to become un-bootable.

Does a new kernal recompilling cause any system damages ? :(
Could i use the above existing system to allocate a maxium amount of disk space a user or group ? ( with out that quota enabling )

    some of the avalable kernelas

Name Avail Vers Inst .vers Summary
    FAUmachine-suse-90 20050210 SUSE Linux 9.0 kernal , bootloader etc.
    FAUmachine-suse-91 20050210 SUSE Linux 9.1 kernal , bootloader etc.
    FAUmachine-suse-92 20050210 SUSE Linux 9.2 kernal , bootloader etc.

Not system damages, but it could be that the system doesn't boot anymore.

You mean you want quota without quota being enabled? No, that doesn't work.
