    Dear all,

I am using ISPconfig Version: 2.2.15 and created a number of domains, one of which is ""

when I open a terminal and type

"host -t A", it will return has address (that's good.)

    but when I type

"host -t ptr", it will return has no PTR record

In my understanding the ISPconfig will automatically create a PTR record for all domains, but it appears that it doesn't.

Did I set something wrong and how can I fix it ? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that your server is the authoritive DNS server for the IP In most cases, the provider that assigned you this IP is also authoritive for the PTR records of that IP, so you will have to ask your provider to add the PTR record in his server.
