Have a multi-server running on Debian Wheezy and it was working with the 2 dns servers we have setup (both on our local network)

Decided to setup a 3rd DNS server on a remote server. Installed just php, bind, MySQL, bare essentials. Install ISPConfig in expert mode with no problems (db permissions were set in master).

We use iptables and opened up port 53 UDP

We went into Server setup and told Master we are only a dns and to mirror the primary dns server (Just like our current secondary does).

We have about 50 domains in our current DNS and they work fine on dns1 and dns2, but won't transfer.

Does the new DNS server pull records from the Master? or do I need to allow permissions on DNS1 which I am mirroring and are the records pulled from there?

Are there any other ports that need to be opened on this off site server other than 53 udp?

    Thanks!

ISPConfig mirrors only changes to the slaves, so you have to tell the system to resync everything. Go to tools > Resync, select dns and press start.

So that's what the Resync tool is for :D

My 3rd DNS server is working great now!!

    Thanks for the great support!!
