I have updated my ispconfig from to and later to and squirrelmail from 1.4.20 to 1.4.22

Mail accounts created before works fine but when I create a new account and then enter to the webmail, I see this error trying to access to sent, drafts or trash folder:

    ERROR: Could not complete request.
    Query: SELECT "INBOX.Sent"
Reason given: Mailbox does not exist, or must be subscribed to.

Inbox works fine and it can send mails, but not save copy in sent folder.

If I access the account folder from SSH I see that courierimapkeywords folder, courierimapacl and courierimapuiddb files are missing.

    What can I do?

I need some more details from you.
My first question from you is which mailclient you are using?
You need to subscribe the sent item folders to correct/valid path/folder. It is the error in your mail account.

No mail client. The error is from the squirrelmail webmail.
It seems to be a problem in the creation of the account in ispconfig since there are missings archives and folders.
How can I subscribe the sent item folders?

    I have more problems.
If I create a new account from an existing mail domain I have the problem posted before but I can receive mail.

But if I create a new mail domain and a new account I dont receive any mail and I see this error in the mail queue, for [email protected]:

(temporary failure. Command output: ERR: authdaemon: s_connect() failed: Permission denied /usr/bin/maildrop: Unable to create a dot-lock at /var/vmail/

I can see the mail folder is created in /var/vmail.

    Whats going on?

I found whats the problem with the Permission denied

When I created a new mail domain its property of user root, group root
If I change this by user and group vmail it works.

What can I do create this automatically with vmail owner?
In ISPConfig -> System -> Server Config -> server -> tab "Mail" I have mailuser name and group vmail

    Ill try the debug mode.

    Yes, /var/vmail is a link to /home/vmail
