    Hi all,

    I've 2 questions for you :

First, I've problem with postfix, I can't receive mail on my mail server. The DNS mail.espace4you.org pointing correctly to my IP address 91.121.39.89.

But when I want to make "telnet mail.espace4you.org 25", the connection is refused.

This is my postconf -n :

This is result for netstat -tap | grep smtp :

There are no firewall setting on the server. I don't understand why it refused connection. If you have an idea, please ?

Thank you for your answer ^^

Everything seems to be running just fine:
    tcp 0 0 mail.espace4you.or:smtp benicia-w2-inf30.:63157 ESTABLISHED 27456/smtpd

can you see anything in the logfiles when you get the connection refused?

    Where's the 2nd question? :)

-- edit : I can view mails in postfix mail-queue but don't receive in mailbox. I add all log on ispconfig :

    Mail Warn Log :

    Mail Error Log :

there's your little bugger .. is amavisd running? :p

    ls -al | grep :10024

    should give you something like:
    tcp 0 0 127.0.0.1:10024 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 11519/amavisd (mast
    ...
    ...

you're 2nd question i cannot answer because i run powerdns on 3 completely different ns servers, i don't use the dns service ispconfig can provide me.

Result when I want to start amavis :

    Code:
    mail:/# /etc/init.d/amavis start
Starting amavisd: head: cannot open `/etc/mailname' for reading: No such file or directory amavisd-new
and for netstat -tap | grep amavis :

    any idea ?

Thank you for your help Mark :)

    Create a file:

    /etc/mailname

with just one line with the hostname of your server

Arf, the delay to receive my mail is too long. I don't understand why. For example, when I test mail from different server, the delay is near 48h ... :/

Do you want new error, warn and mail logs from my mail server ?

send a mail and when you do that tail -f the mail.log file to see if there are any mails incomming from the sending server, and check what happens .. (you can post them here ;))

It seems as if your system doesn't have enough free memory. What's the output of
    Code:
    free
    ?

    Jul 7 13:25:12 mail amavis[31507]: (!)Net::Server: 2009/07/07-13:25:12 Couldn't fork: [Can't allocate memory]\n\n at line 293 in file /usr/share/perl5/Net/Server.pm

Looks like you're running OOM :(

when a new mail is incomming, it sets amavisd to work, that wants to fork some processes, but it can't, because it runs out of memory.
