No inbox for user error

    I deleted a domain user in ISPConfig, emptied the recycle bin, and then re-created the user. Now I am getting the following error in my POP3 mail client:

    "The server for account NAME returned the error "No INBOX for user.. Your username/password of security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"

    When I re-enter the password, no luck. I have tried resetting the password in ISPConfig to confirm that it's not a typo related to the password. Also, I have other accounts in the domain that are able to check/send mail - no problem.

    Also, I am able to see the user's name in /var/mail

    Any thoughts?

    Please send a email to this user, the in´box is created when the first email arrives. Wehen you use courier or dovecot as pop3 server, please make sure that you enabled Maildir in ISPConfig under management > server > settings.

    Checking the Maildir box in the server settings did the trick. Thanks for your help!
