    Hi,

I've read a few tutorials that nginx as a proxy for apache makes for a better system by only letting apache do other server related tasks while nginx does all the static stuff. Is this still true for ISPConfig 3 as most of these articles seem outdated?

ISPconfig does not support nginx as reverse proxy for apache. If you want a fast server, use nginx directly as we do it in ISPConfig nginx setups.

There is no Debian 9 howto available yet. But you can use the Debian 9 apache howto and replace the apache part with nginx part from Debian 8 guide.

In the hope of not hijack the thread.
Is it possible to transform an Apache+ISPConfig perfect server to an nginx+ISPConfig perfect server?
Would apt remove apache2 && apt install nginx do?

    Thanks in advance :)
