Just wondering what software this forum uses to manage its newsletter.
We use Mailgust for the newsletter.
Just what I'm after
Do you have an URL or download link?
The http://mailgust.phpoutsourcing.com URL does not look like it belongs to mailgust
@egde: They point to this here: http://www.mailgust.org/ but it looks like the original site got hijacked by scamers
I think the project has died, but we're still using the software because it's working great.
falko.. Do you still have the install file? If so.. Do you mind sharing it with me?.. That is.. If it's a free version..
I would like to get a copy of that aw well.
Any body know of a better program? .. I personally don't like PHP Lits much.
I assume it's licenced under GPL so if Falko still has the install file he'll share it. If not you may contact the guys from http://mailgust.phpoutsourcing.com
I don't have the install file anymore, only the files from our installation, and I can't find the license in them, so I'm not sure if I can put this here for download...
You can't distribute it @ Falko
A little research on google gave me this:
@ Signature16: I suggest you contact the guys at phpoutsourcing.com as the claim to be the original coders of mailgust.
Nice and free newsletter software
A nice php/mysql based newsletter software is PHPlist. It's open source and easy to configure as well.
poMMo is also quite nice: http://pommo.org/
We are looking for a Newsletter Program that is tested and is knowing to
work with PHP/MySQL. We will be having allot of people use this
newsletter so it should be able to handle sending lots of emails. Also
we would need to be able to send the newsletters in HTML format.
Free or paid programs are not an issue, just as long as the program works.
Users can subsribe and unsubscribe from the list, e-mail is formatted
with unsubscribe details, it can generate HTML forms for them to
unsubscribe. It can also track users clicks to your links, so you know
which of your subsribers clicked on your links etc.
Sends e-mail in both HTML or TEXT, you are able to have the newsletter
formatted in both depending on your users PREFERENCE.
The list will also auto-delete inactive e-mail accounts and so forth.
Separate names with a comma.
