the company where i buy my domains offers free secondary nameservers, so i'm using the mydns as primary and am trying to get a secondary updated via axfr.
(works with bind9 ... on my old server)

since mydns works with ispconfig i decided to give it a shot, but though the config /etc/mydns.conf says axfr is enabled (can't i limit it to vertain IPs??) the webinterface from my domainseller says the transfer was denied.

anyone else had that problem, how can i fix it?

    also:
how the hell do i get mydns to log anything about the denied axfr?

ah .. just noticed the allow IP field in the DNS settings.
so the config probably tells if to allow at all ...

that's not exactly intuitive though :)
