Hi i would like to know how i can fix server status updates... Also I updated debain from 5 to 6 but isp config says unknown... More info u can see in the images
Its a vps with only 1 instal of isp config for running few website so i think its a single user server. I did update debian lenny to squeeze with a tutorial from howtoforge. http://www.howtoforge.com/upgrade-debian-lenny-to-squeeze-in-a-few-simple-steps I skipped: aptitude Press g and the list shows which packages need your attention. Fix any packages in the action list, until the message says: Because i did not know to resolve the 20 packages listed in aptitude... After that debian updated well i suppose I am a real command line rooki... By the way thanks for helping
Please run the command: apt-get update apt-get dist-upgrade to ensure that all debian packages are installed. Then do a backup of your ispconfig install as described here (just to be sure): http://www.faqforge.com/linux/controlpanels/ispconfig3/how-to-update-ispconfig-3/ and then do a manual ispconfig update to update the configuration files. Select yes when the updater asks you if the services shall be reconfigured. The manual update instructions can be found here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50824
Thanks allot now cmd is running allot stuff i did not see before... By questions about updating config files i answered maintain default files because a system admin tweaked my server to be faster. So in my opinion i have to keep this tweaks. Hopefully they will work... I keep u updated Thanks again
Think i did choose 1 wrong option in database configuration My website is saying Database Error: Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL I added the screen image where i did choose no think i had to choose yess I hope there is a fix somehow
Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2) I did check this location and dont see : /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock <<< this file Hope u will be back tomorrow...
Where exactly do you get this message? What's the output of Code: netstat -tap ? Did you try to restart MySQL?
Hi Falko, Today I did a system backup and installed a completely new debian 6 image on my vps... Got everything fresh installed also isp config works. Right now i am transferring my websites to the new system/os and find a problem with phpmyadmin. The link from the isp-config control panel is going to http://vps(private).(private)vps.nl/phpmyadmin Not Found The requested URL /phpmyadmin was not found on this server. Apache/2.2.16 (Debian) Server at vps(private).(private)vps.nl Port 80 I will let know if i can fix it with this tutorial i used: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-debian-squeeze-with-bind-and-courier-ispconfig-3-p6 Or maybe U have some advise. Thanks for the time
I did try allot but i was not that experienced so I decided to install everything from scratch... Right now its only the php my admin issue. Its already installed i know that. maybe i have to still configure that. But dont know how to do...
Found the solution here http://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...pmyadmin-was-not-found-on-this-server-796610/
