I know there has to be something here somewhere. Could someone point out the doc that explains mx record creation? I have six of my own sites that I created and I want them to all point to one mailserver. i.e. mail.domain.com www.domain1.com www.domain2.com www.domain3.com all point to mail.domain.com What's the easiest way to do this with ISPconfig? It shouldn't be a problem for the mailserver right? That just goes of username and password right? Can I put "@" in the hostname field and "mail.domain.com" in the mailserver field?
You can create MX records in the ISPConfig DNS-Manager, just open the primary record of your domain and add a MX record, leave the hostname field empty and add your mailserver name in the mailserver field.
Lets say you want to have a email address like [email protected] or [email protected], then you need a mx for e.g. uk.mydomain.com and not mydomain.com. In this case you will have to put "uk" in the hostname field.
