    Good day everyone!

I am currently running a multi server setup and was wondering if anyone could help with the following.

My primary DNS server works as it's supposed to only my secondary seems to not receive any records.
I would like my secondary DNS server(not mirrored) to also respond to fqdn queries but it simply does not. I have my DNS information configured and have set up "secondary DNS zone" to my secondary DNS server and also added my primary and secondary IP to the "allow zone transfer".

If you are not using ISPConfig to mirror DNS zones to secondary name servers, you need to set up master and slave servers. Read the documentation for the name service software you are using, you do not set up the copying of dns date in ISPConfig.

I do have a master slave setup running.
Name service software? Do you mean BIND?

I don't know what software you are using. bind is one alternative.

First, you should check if the slave DNS zone has been created by ISPConfig on the slave server. If that's the case, then check if there are any errors in the Linux syslog file from BIND / named in regard to mirroring that zone.

I actually found an err file and corrected it but eventually i had the slave - master IP addresses reversed. Solved now thanks to you guys + manual.
