    Hi folks,

as there is no converter or similar when migrating all relevant data from an ispconfig2 controlled server to ispconfig3, does anybody have an idea regarding the transfer of e-mails?

So where do the mails reside for each user in an ispconfig3 installation an will it be possible to just transfer the maildir folder of each user to the appropriate directory?
I'm asking this question as I did not look into ispconfig3 that deep, but I now that there was a switch from "normal" to virtual users between ispconfig2 to 3 and I am not so sure which implications this will have in case of a migration.

    So any ideas?

    thx
    Ben

    Courier:

    /var/vmail/domain.tld/user/

    Dovecot:

    /var/vmail/domain.tld/user/Maildir/

You can copy the maildir contents from the ispconfig 2 server to the new maildir location on the ispconfig 3 system and then chown them to user and group vmail.

Ah cool. An the usermismatch in the mailheader does not mind courier's imap when accessing old mails?
