Good day. Is there a way to get a manually generated SSL certificate to work with ISPConfig? The request was generated using:

    openssl req -new > filename.csr

This is for a site setup in ISPConfig, not an SSL for ISPConfig itself.

    Many thanks!

You can paste the CSR and the cert into the appropriate text areas on the SSL tab of that web site.

Thanks for your quick reply. That did not work properly at first, as ISPConfig refused to add the SSL until I added a key file in the SSL directory of the site. After that it appears to be working fine. Is there some step I missed? Thanks again.

If you want to use a manually created ssl cert, you will always have to replace the key file in the ssl directory as the key file from ispconfig is not the one needed by your cert.
