Yes, you can use a Dyndns hostname for testing. Just make sure that the MX record points to your server.

    Hi

I'm getting lost now with the connectivity issues. My mailserver is behind the firewall(IPcop) and The dynamic DNS recognize my external IP(*.*.*.*),so the thing is i get this message :Oct 30 02:39:37 rq3thabang postfix/smtp[5968]: 235A45280D0: to=<[email protected]>, relay=none, delay=1345, delays=1315/0.02/30/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to rq3thabang.selfip.biz[*.*.*.*]: Connection timed out)

connect to rq3thabang.selfip.biz[*.*.*.*]: Connection timed out (port 25)

for my understanding the DDNS forwaded the mail to my host and the is something that is blocking the connection. So what settings i need to allow the mail to come through the firewall and reach the mail system.I just configured the IPCop but not sure what more do i need.

Someone please help me solve the problem.

Another thing i just found is this:

    the 196.211.227.34 is my firewall
I just realised that the mail is queued and for [email protected] was delivered.

    what may be causing this?
