Mail server for 3500 users

    Hi there

    I need to setup a mail server whit the following features:

    1)3500+ users accounts
    2)Multiple Domains
    3)Web Interface (ubiemail maybe)
    4)can limit account size (1Mb)
    5)massive account creation capable

    Can u tell me if thereĀ“s a "HOW TO" that i can use to do it?

    Please help me....:D

    You can try, Zimbra, or scalix.

    The First is like a good one for small business. Maybe till 5000 max ? I don't know, but the site says 200,000 with a dual Xeon . And I didn't try Zimbra or Scalix. Anyway they seems robust aswell.

    Or just go with the shell, some packages install, manually edit every files, etc.

    My advice is to use one of those. Your choice is what fit your needs.

    After try whit Hula i took a closer look to your tutorial...i have a little question, i understand that for administration i have phpmyadmin running on the web server but i dont understand i will get some kind of Web Base GUI i mean a web mail interface for users, of course.

    If you like you can write one yourself with PHP. You only need to write to the MySQL database. :)

    you can use any imap webmail client with Falko's tutorial.. i use roundcube... works great!

    the how-to of falko is as easy as pealing a banana :)

    the round installation is also in that category...

    with that many users and possible domains, I would use postfix with mysql support for virtual domains and then user postfixadmin to maintain it. it's quite good.

    But postfixadmin doesn't work with this setup - at least not without programming changes...
