    I have installed Ubuntu 11.10/ispconfig3/postfix/squirrelmail
I can send from my squirrelmail to any domain but I can not send to it
If i send from hotmail to a domain on this server i get the following error:

I found something telling me to add my domain to /etc/postfix/ but not sure where in that file to add it as I cant find any section for domain names.
However using ispconfig, should I not be able to do all this from the web interface?

Can anyone tell me where to look for the fault?

    Kind Regards

Are there any errors in your mail log (in the /var/log/ directory)?

    What's in /etc/postfix/

Did you create as a mail domain in ISPConfig?

    The file again

    Thanks for reply
Yes the address is [email protected]. It was a copy/paste error. Sorry

    I used this manual:

I can see there was missing some part of the file again
I have attached it again, complete this time

    That is all
Hopefully i did a better job this time :)

    Thanks for your time

    Next Step

    Hi again
OK, thanks for looking into it

Can i just confim one thing with you

If ISPConfig is setup correct from the start
Is it right that when a customer logs in and create a mail domain and a mail user, they should also go into Email routing and write that it should route the mail to the ip of mail server. is that right?

Is it right that if all setup is right it should just work without having to enter domain name manually into any file?

Is there a script I should try to run again to setup mail again. If so I could setup that part of it again and try. Is there a command for this?

    Kind Regards

    No, they shouldn't do this.

You as the administrator have to make sure that the DNS records of the domain are ok, expecially that the MX record points to the correct server.

    DNS Settings

I know that the manual used does install a local DNS Server as well, however i am not using that one at all

We buy all our domains at and manage a records and MX records from there poiting it to this server

Is it problematic not using the build into DNS?
Just wondering if there are settings in the system counting on it?
I dont use it because i am not sure howto and I through it was enought just using the login to point to the server.

    Can this be a problem?

    Kind REgards

I'm having the same problem on Ubuntu 12.04 with Local Bind and Multiple-Server Setup (2 Dns Servers) =(

The problem was the wrong 'server_id' field.

But now I have another problem:

(temporary failure. Command output: ERR: authdaemon: s_connect() failed: Permission denied /usr/bin/maildrop: Unable to create a dot-lock at /var/vmail/
