how could I activate/install a Tomcatserver for a debian 5 and ispconfig 3?
ISPConfig has no builtin support for tomcat. You will have to install tomcat as described in their installation instructions and then you might have to add some additional apache directives in the apache directives field of the website in ispconfig to enable tomcat for that site.
I installed tomcat on Fedora 10 using
# yum install tomcat
Has anyone figured out what the apache directives might be for a virtual host on ISPConfig 3 to server some .jsp pages?
Here is some documentation about mod_jk
Installing Tomcat on ISPconfig3
We have tried to install the tomcat on ISPconfig 3, during the past 2 months without success. Installation is easy and tomcat get installed without problem but it cannot parse any pages and shows only the source code.
We would like to hire a developer to make this possible or maybe just a description on:
- how to install and configure tomcat and mod_jk to enable webserver to parse .jsp files
- how to enable .jps for all sites set up via ISPconfig
- Optional: ISPconfig3 plugin to enable per-site jsp
Hope someone is interested to help us.
